Elkhart Plastics Adds 20-Quart Box to KONG Coolers Line
SOUTH BEND, IN — Elkhart Plastics LLC, a Myers Industries, Inc. company (NYSE: MYE), continues to expand its KONG Coolers product line with the new KONG 20.
The 20-quart cooler joins the brand’s existing lineup, including five coolers ranging in size from 25 to 110 quarts. While its predecessors were built for extended ice retention and long journeys, the KONG 20 is designed for maximum convenience.
The KONG 20 is the most portable, lightweight box available from KONG Coolers. The thick padded strap makes it easy to sling over your shoulder or carry with one hand. It is sized to fit an outing worth of your favorite snack and beverages, including bottles of wine. Plus, it fits nicely into snug spaces in the boat or car.
“The KONG 20 is for people who want to use a high quality, dependable, American-made product, but don’t necessarily need a 30 pound cooler,” says Jack Welter, president of Elkhart Plastics.

Elkhart Plastics has been rotomolding coolers and custom parts for more than 30 years. The company launched KONG Coolers in 2017.
The KONG 20 holds up to 16 12-ounce cans and 12 pounds of ice. Its outer dimensions measure 18 ½” x 14” x 17 ¼” with inner dimensions of 13 ½” x 9” x 13”. It is currently available in the company’s classic Winter White, Rugged Red, and Boulder Blue colors for $169. More colors and accessories will be added in the future.
