Elkhart Plastics’ KONG Coolers Rated Best Rotomolded Cooler

We’ve all been there. You pack up the cooler and you’re on your way to do something fun. Maybe you’re heading to the campground for the weekend, out on the lake for the day, or on your way to your annual hunting trip. But then your day is interrupted because you need more ice and your cooler is leaking.

In May 2017, Elkhart Plastics, Inc. (EPI) launched KONG Coolers, a line of products that would fix this problem for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. The third-party reviewer also featured KONG Coolers in the Best Coolers Showdown review (posted below), in which the Winter White KONG 50 came in at No. 1. Two 50QT KONG Coolers were up against nine other leading rotomolded coolers to compete for the longest ice retention. KONG was able to hold ice for 9.5 days in 100+ degree temperatures, leading it to win the challenge. KONG beat out well-known brands like Otterbox, Orca, and Techni Ice.
