We’ve all been there. You pack up the cooler and you’re on your way to do something fun. Maybe you’re heading to the campground for the weekend, out on the lake for the day, or on your way to your annual hunting trip. But then your day is interrupted because you need more ice and your cooler is leaking.

In May 2017, Elkhart Plastics, Inc. (EPI) launched KONG Coolers, a line of products that would fix this problem for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. Since then, KONG Coolers customers have been raving about aspects of KONG Coolers that its competitors haven’t been able to achieve: superior ice retention, rugged durability, and unique accessories.

Recently, industry expert and cooler guru Coolers on Sale called KONG Coolers “an engineering marvel” in a video review (posted below). The review highlights robust features of the cooler including its secure latches, sturdy handles, and one of a kind accessories. Click here to read the full written review accompanying the video.

The third party reviewer also featured KONG Coolers in the Best Coolers Showdown review (posted below), in which the Winter White KONG 50 came in at No. 1. Two 50QT KONG Coolers were up against nine other leading rotomolded coolers to compete for longest ice retention. KONG was able to hold ice for 9.5 days in 100+ degree temperatures, leading it to win the challenge. KONG beat out well-known brands like Otterbox, Orca, and Techni Ice.

Coolers on Sale says KONG Coolers held ice among the best of any cooler they’ve ever tested.

KONG Coolers are designed, manufactured, and sold by EPI in America. The company recently moved KONG Coolers production to its newest facility in Atlantic, Iowa.

“From the inception of KONG Coolers, it’s been important to us that we deliver a high-quality cooler that contributes to the economy while delivering superior ice retention and maximum usability for customers,” Jack Welter, CEO of EPI, says. “These reviews go to show that our team has done exactly what we set out to do with this brand, and we look forward to building on our current momentum.”
