Middlebury Facility Joins Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention
Elkhart Plastics Middlebury is now a member of the Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners), a program supported by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
The facility was inducted during the Partners virtual quarterly meeting on June 30, 2021, joining Elkhart Plastics South Bend and Elkhart locations, which became Partners members last year.
Elkhart Plastics is now a corporate Partners member, signifying the highest-level commitment to pollution prevention.
“We’re glad to have Middlebury join the Partners group and to become corporate members,” says Jack Welter, president of Elkhart Plastics. “It’s critical that we continually work to find innovation solutions to reduce waste and pollution in manufacturing, and Partners is a leading environmental group for Indiana businesses.”
Elkhart Plastics Middlebury was inducted alongside two other members, joining 102 Indiana businesses in commitment to Partners.
As a member, Elkhart Plastics pledges to implement voluntary environmental initiatives at our facilities, share information and expertise with other businesses, foster environmental stewardship among employees and help raise public awareness.
