Elkhart Plastics, Inc. Now Offering Residential Refuse Carts

SOUTH BEND, IND. –Elkhart Plastics (EPI) is delivering improved safety and performance with a newly added product: residential refuse carts.

EPI’s residential refuse, recycling, and yard waste carts offer durability, curb appeal, and years of trouble-free service. The carts are made with medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) resins to be tough and lightweight. The cart’s single-piece design allows for seamless leak-proof protection and high performance in extreme weather with the ability to withstand temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Large handles on the cart allow for easy handling. Additionally, EPI offers an optional add-on metal lift bar, which is optimized to fit both automated and rear truck loading.

“Our rotomolded residential refuse carts are an addition to our Proprietary product line,” says Jack Welter, CEO of EPI. “The containers are designed for municipalities looking for long performance in all environments. The impact resistance containers are ideal for residential applications.”

Customers can choose from a variety of standard or custom cart colors. They also have the option to add custom graphics like logos, contact information, and identification numbers to the residential carts.

The residential carts are available in three sizes: 35, 60, and 95 gallons. Every size comes with a one-year limited warranty.

The carts are designed and manufactured in EPI’s Ridgefield, Wash. facility, which is ISO 9001:2015 Certified. Fittings and components of the carts are also manufactured in America.
