Elkhart Plastics Ranks High Among Rotomolders

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart Plastics is proud to be ranked second in North America in custom rotomolding sales and eighth in overall sales according to Plastics News’ 2015 Rotomolder Rankings. Based on data from the fiscal year 2014, Plastic News released the rankings in August.

Spurred by a loyal and growing customer base and a competent and innovative workforce, Elkhart Plastics reported $90 million in sales during 2014. Compared to 2013’s $79.5 million in sales, the most recent figure represents a 13-percent increase in sales.EPI infographic

“I am extremely proud of the growth and success we have achieved overall and within the last year at Elkhart Plastics,” said Jack Welter, CEO of Elkhart Plastics.

“These figures represent more than dollars and cents; these rankings are a testament to the entire Elkhart Plastics team and our efforts to produce great rotationally molded products for satisfied clients.

“While there is always room for improvement, we will use these rankings as motivation to push harder and work smarter in order to make fiscal year 2015 our best yet,” Welter said. “I’m proud of our team and excited to see what else we can achieve in the future.”

Owned and operated in the United States, Elkhart Plastics has six plants across the country. Four of those plants are located in Indiana and Ohio which Plastics News ranked as the top two rotomolding states. In addition to facilities in Elkhart, South Bend, and Middlebury, Ind., and Ohio City, Ohio, Elkhart Plastics also has facilities in Ridgefield, Wash., and Littleton, Colo.

Elkhart Plastics employs 620 people and utilizes 54 rotational machines – the most reported amongst Plastics news’ top 100 rotomolders – to design and produce custom and off-the-shelf products for clients around the world.

With the slogan of “If you can imagine it, we can rotomold it,” Elkhart Plastics can create a countless number of rotomolded items. Primarily, the 27-year-old business serves the agriculture, construction, heavy truck, marine, RV, and material handling industries.
