Quality Assurance
Once your part has been molded and the secondary assembly is complete, the Elkhart Plastics team will run an initial sample inspection report on your part. We do this on every new product manufactured in our facilities to ensure that every product going out the door meets customer expectations and requirements.
In-House Quality Testing
Every part has unique quality standards. Our highly skilled operators are trained to pay close attention to part requirements. They reject and investigate the cause of any part that deviates from the established standard. We insist on numerous visual and mechanical inspections during each step of the process and gladly conduct any special testing your part may require.
Some of our quality testing processes include:
- Multi-level production part approval process (PPAP) is available.
- FARO Arm coordinate measuring
- Machine cycle validation and documentation
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Our careful testing process results in plastic parts that have been manufactured with precision. It’s important to test that the plastic material has been properly treated during the manufacturing process; proper plastic curing and exact measurements are key to a successful rotomolded part.

Elkhart Plastics has ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified plants in Middlebury, IN; South Bend, IN; and Ridgefield, WA. Additionally, our Elkhart, IN and Littleton, CO facilities are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 compliant.
