Elkhart Plastics, Inc.’s (EPI)  history begins in 1988, when it was originally founded as Elkhart Plastics, Inc. Our CEO, Jack Welter, first joined EPI in 1989. Mr. Welter has now been with the company for more than 27 years.

EPI started out serving the RV industry with water and holding tanks in Elkhart County. Today, EPI supplies more than 30 different industries. EPI manufactures more than 250,000 pieces of marine furniture per year, 250,000 RV tanks, and 120,000 diesel and DEF tanks with our processproduct design and engineeringmold makingmanufacturingsecondary finishing, and storage and shipping.

Three of our five locations are located in Indiana. The following video was created by Fox 28 WSJV in the Elkhart/South Bend area as part of its Bicentennial History Minutes series featuring Indiana businesses in celebration of the state’s 200th anniversary of becoming a state.
