Elkhart Plastics Adds New Machinery & Jobs in Washington

South Bend, IN – Elkhart Plastics continues to grow its business, recently adding equipment in its Ridgefield, Washington plant (known as Portland Plastics). The Ferry RS4-280 and 220 independent arm rotational molding machines will require about ten new production personnel to run the machines and finish parts after molding.

“Our business is booming, and we are so pleased to continue to serve existing and new customers with the latest equipment, as well as contributing to the local economy by adding jobs in Ridgefield, Washington,” said Jack Welter, CEO of Elkhart Plastics, Inc.

Portland Plastics serves the northwest region of the US and produces rotomolded plastic fuel tanks, DEF tanks, and a variety of other custom applications. These additions to the plant’s equipment bring the total rotational molding machines in this plant to eleven, and will likely be operational in early October 2013.
